The number that matters most
A phone visitor waits 11.0 seconds for the page to load.
Google's threshold for "good" is under 2.5 seconds. The page is also fully interactive only after 30 seconds, and weighs 5.1 MB — most of a phone's data budget on a single page.
Why this is an SEO problem, not just a speed problem
Speed is a Google ranking signal. Google measures real-world load speed (Core Web Vitals) and ranks slow mobile pages lower. An 11-second load actively holds the site back in search — before a single word of content is considered.
There's no local content to rank. No lake-specific pages for the places boats actually sell — "pontoon dealer Grand Lake OK," "boats for sale Beaver Lake AR." The blog hasn't been updated since February 2024. Buyers search by lake; the site doesn't answer those searches.
Better rankings come from a fast site + content built around the lakes and boats people search for. The current platform can deliver neither.
