Hey, Brittany. Do I have my water bottle in your chair? Oh, yeah. Right next to Bob. Four, seven. Five. Five. No. But I'll take that coffee cup, too.
Is it empty?
Yeah.
Oh, it's like, is it empty?
Can I just tag your photos?
Yeah, right. I know. It's the same. It's the same for both of them.
They didn't
write anything special
on it. No, they did. I got 10 exclamation points on this. And it was a dude. Are they on the same login? No. No. Really. Honestly, all I saw was chicken scratch, and I was like,
I don't even know what they said on it. Like I
said, it was a dude. You didn't have to tell us. We could tell by him. Yeah,
right. It wasn't both of them. Well, under my email, but like, for like them, it's their like school email.
Oh, yeah. They gotta have separate, cause they gotta sign the author. Oh, yeah. That's also
genius. Ask a sixth grader for his school email, cause he fucking knows that, right?
Yeah, it
gets worse.
I had to email the school. Yeah.
All right.
613. You guys ready to kick this thing off?
Okay. Um, so Kevin checked the bank balance today. It's at 27 ,773 .79 in the bank. Um, I did check signups before I came over as of today. Uh, cheer is still at 37. Three, four went up more players to 31.
Fifth grade has 13. Sixth grade has nine.
I believe both of those have three prospects as well.
I think they can see. I think that was a cancel. There was one a cancellation on three, four. I thought I saw today. And lesson three signed up today.
I checked it yesterday and three more kids signed up from yesterday. Okay.
So, one of them was the scholarship, the one that we had three times today. Okay. Yeah. Um, he was all the way through and was waiting on the payment process. Um,
okay. So, about numbers and then that, um, I know TJ you mentioned, um, about a registration deadline about.
Yeah. And just real fast. Um, so I'm going to resign from the VP position and I want to put my name in for president. So, um, I don't know, you know, I don't know if there was anybody else that wanted to put their name in for president.
Come on,
politician.
I
got some
drugs. Yeah. I need some chips. I don't know. I, uh, you know, I feel like I'm ready. So, I don't know. Like, effective immediately?
Or at the end of the year? Well, you guys talking about this yet? I think, no, I thought you were going to stay on. I said I would
stay on through it through the end of the year. Yeah. Um, right. Again, I didn't know who was going to want to do it. It's not a hard job, honestly. It's just that I felt that, not to take away from what you're saying, but I felt like I'm not giving the club enough time.
So, especially being in the president position. Right. You should be like on the field, near the field, around. I knew I was going
to
be
able
to be there for games, practice. I'm going to be everywhere. Um, games, I'll be with John on Thursdays. So, the weekends I have open, I plan to come help for the rest of the season out there. Um, but I didn't think it was fair to the rest of the board members and any other volunteers that, hey, I'm the president, I should be there.
If a parent wants to come talk to me, they should be able to come talk to me. Other than just sending me an email. It's not a virtual position, I feel like. Right. So, that's why I'm stepping down.
Um,
and I'm talking for Tasha, but Tasha's someone, you know, next year, we're going to be up north half the time in the springtime for Josh's college stuff or wherever else he's playing. He plays all down the northeast coast.
So, there's no telling where we'll be or when we'll travel or whatnot. So, and then we have Jonathan's travel football on top of everything else. Right. So. Appreciate it. Yeah. So, I just didn't think it was fair to everybody here that you guys put a lot of time in.
And that was my.
I thought we were going to do more bribing to try and keep him on. No?
TJ's already like.
And then he said he's resigning and I'm like, shit, he's going to resign before we make him president. Yeah.
So. Yeah, when I heard that I was a. Well, I mean, we can take a vote. Like, make it official. I mean, it
doesn't have to.
I
mean, listen, I don't know if there's anybody else. I haven't talked to anybody. So, I mean, clearly, we know Kevin's leaving. So, somebody needs to, somebody needs to take that. Is
anybody interested?
What's required of being president?
Being the number one person in respect to what the club does? Yeah.
So, I ran the position like it's my business. I know there's some stuff that I made that I didn't make any friends. And I probably still have people out there that are not happy with the decisions that I've made.
I got rid of a coach last year who went by on my own fruition. Just because of another board member that was on here that got threatened by him with a letter that should have never been sent. So, I was like done with the three weeks of drama.
And I let him go. So, that's probably going to follow me for the rest of the time I live in Delaware. And they have kids in school. So, it is what it is. Yeah. But, when you're in a position that's like Tyler's, that runs the coaches and he's on the field all the time and he's running the program or my position, people are like, okay, well what does the president say about?
I mean, I don't know how many times you call me and like, hey Kevin, what do you think? So, do I call every one of these guys and say, hey, I'm going to make a decision with Kaylee? No, I make a decision.
We're going to spend $200 or $500 on both. I'm fine with it. As long as our bylaws say that two people can say yes, that's all I have to say. Yeah. And not many, many, everybody here is going to say like, why did you say that?
So, not that like, my position is not here and everybody else is here. It's just, it's the top.
That's one of the general ideas of it.
Yeah. By the way, you don't have to step down by being a VP or whatever. So, you're still, because you said it's not. He just went. You have to finish this. He wouldn't have to be dramatic. I did.
I
want to look dramatic. So, TJ makes a motion to become president. I'll second that motion.
Like you do.
Anybody else?
You do know, if you do that, you have to answer the phone. How many times you were calling me Kaylee? Do you understand? No, don't. Don't
kill her. Do you want to see my phone? Listen,
I
fully understand. I fully understand what is involved. You know, listen, I'm right behind Tyler on literally year one, day one of thinking about junior Pacers football.
You know, I've been on the board ever since. I've been a coach, coming back as a coach.
You know, I think we all want the same thing. We want junior Pacers to keep moving. Right? So, you know, I think I can do that.
You know, but we all need to work together. Right? I mean, everybody needs to come and, you know, there's going to be hard decisions. There's going to be this and that. So we'll work through it and I'll answer your calls too.
That
position
will also
be the one that has to hold people accountable. Yeah. People saying they're going to do something or they want to do something and they don't do it. Then it's going to be up to him to speak up to that person.
So, again, one other thing I did my first year is, and it wasn't my intention, but Mark Radenbaugh wasn't attending the meetings all the time and I was like, we need somebody here.
Speaking of Mark, we have a different vote on
that afterwards. So, and again, since then I've talked to him and I think we're all good, but my intentions wasn't to run him off. It was to be like, if you're going to be on this board, be present.
So, and that's why I asked the question in November. If you're going to be on the board and you want to stay to be on the board, you're not being forced to be off the board, be here.
So, that's it. That's all I got to say. So, did we vote on this? Well,
yeah, we got a motion a second. Everybody votes in favor. So, is this like immediately
or is this when Kevin steps down? When Kevin steps down is what I heard. Well, yeah, when
Kevin steps down, right? Which is the end of the year. It also
could be a learning opportunity as well.
We have
to vote on this now. I mean, we... What if I don't want to vote on it yet?
Then you don't have to vote on it. Yeah. I mean, I, you know, listen, if, if we feel like I need to take over now, then, then I guess we vote on that. But, I mean, you basically committed.
I mean, we're, we're almost into the season now. Right? That's what I don't want. So, I mean,
you
know. That's, like,
if I have to, if I have to step back and not have the title, I told you guys I'd still stay and be around.
It sounds like a good rebel commitment from the both of you guys. Yeah. Yeah. So, you've committed to, to keep us running through the season. You've committed to, to oversee what he does and be ready to take that over come January.
That sounds like a good, durable commitment. I don't think it has to be set in stone right this second just in case something happens on your end or... Yeah.
Well, out of curiosity, what's your reservation? Not to put you on the spot. It sounds like
you want to maybe put your name in that.
I, I, I don't know yet.
I got months. Do
you have
to go to the league meetings
at Westerville and all that stuff too?
Yeah, which TJ already does as the vice president, so... Yeah. Um,
I'm less in favor of voting for you for that because you're already running the cheer program. That's been phenomenal and I don't want that to weaken right,
so...
Yeah.
But...
Where were we before, before TJ offered? What were we talking about, what were we talking about before TJ offered to take over?
Sign up. Sign up. Sign up.
Sign
up.
Sign
up.
Registration.
I've
got a deadline.
I, I mean, we don't wanna, we shouldn't have jumped around in the first place. No, we shouldn't have. Sorry. But,
I thought I was gonna start off and then... That's fine. That's fine. That's fine. That's fine. Because we, boom!
Sorry. So we were out of vote though. Yeah. And I think we had enough, did everybody, raise your hand if you approve the vote. I'm in favor.
So, I mean, I think, we can chat about it later too if we wanted another meeting, but for right now we can say that that's the plan going forward. Which also just kind of makes sense as far as a logical succession plan, right?
But that also leaves open the VP spot, Kaylee, if you're wanting to say, hey, I wanna be VP of the club too, or we can challenge it in a later meeting as well.
Right. I can't see you. No, you're good.
So it can come up in another meeting too is my point. But we can say going forward that that's the plan as of now, and then talk about it another time.
Cool.
We were talking about registration?
Registration deadline, to talk about that. If we're having a lot of that.
So chairs cut off.
Yeah,
we know chairs cut off.
No, no. No. No. So, I guess a good spot to start on registration, especially a deadline, would be that the Hays camp is the 20th through the 22nd of July. They run at 8 to 10 for 1st through 4th graders, and 10 through 12 for 5th through 8th graders.
When do our games when they start? The week before Liberty.
The weekend before Liberty. It's an easy conversation, right? 5th and 6th is staying open. The real conversation is 3 -4. Yeah. So now at 3 -4, we're sitting at 30 kids. Do we get into a holding pattern where you start waitlisting kids until you have enough for another team?
Because right now, you're getting dangerously close to having too many. So are we right now like, okay, we're freezing it, but if we get 20 more kids, then we'll open up another team. Because we can't take 50 kids.
We can, but we can't guarantee it. We can't guarantee spots. So at this point, do we hold it and say, right now we are frozen until we get this many kids more, and then we can have two teams.
But don't you lose kids anyways during the first week? Yeah.
You will. It won't be. So we started 6th grade with 44 last year, right? Yeah. So I mean, if we're getting close to that number.
Yeah. I just, I think, and here's been the problem though. We've never been very good at communicating with our families with this topic. And right now is the time where we say, you are waitlisted. We are at 30 kids.
We need 20 more kids to sign up to split into two teams at 25. That has to be the right way to handle it. We can't take these people's money and do all these refunds. Right now, I believe is the number to stop at.
We've made this mistake in the past. I don't want to see us repeat it. I know we don't want to turn anyone away. Yeah, because
that killed us last year. And I think that's what's happening
right now. It kills the program, but it's like, hey, we're not guarantee you a football spot. Because we can't risk these other 30 kids that already signed up.
I don't know how we could have been any more clear about that last year. And if somehow it's still that. It's because people don't read. Pretty much. You can't fix that. So my point is, like, what else could we do more than what we did last year?
Last year we made a big deal about it. We put it on Facebook. It was all over the registration. And we still have problems. So I don't think more communication is going to solve the problem just because people don't read.
I do agree with what he's saying because he set it up at the spaghetti dinner a year before. We weren't, yeah. Set it in 7 on 7. We had it all over our... You're not wrong. I just don't know how you fix it.
I just... I think we just... The only thing we were short of is sending out an email to our past registration kids and saying that there's going to be a waitlist at XYZ amount. And I don't know. Is it possible to put a waitlist on just 3 -4?
I'm trying to find that out. Because I don't know if we can do that. They went
to sign up and like you could make it pending. Like they could put payments... Yeah, but like make a fake sign that says, hey, you have been waitlisted.
You
know, more
details
to come up next date.
So what happens if I have two kids right now that are still kind of 50 -50? Two what? And I want them to be signed up. How many coaches do you have? I think it's just kids. How many coaches do you have?
I'm going to have... Do you have a full staff already? Yeah, I think it's basically... Do
you think... How many do you think you can comfortably coach?
I mean... I was trying to say... You know, like race now, we have 40 kids.
I mean, I would say we're coaching 40 kids. But that's... But we're at 30. Yeah. Is it 30 or 30 kids? Do
you think you can comfortably coach 40? Because Newark did 39 or 42 last year.
What's
his name?
Yeah, quarterback. Romeo's not... And I mean...
Romeo. Yeah. I
would... No. Well, Tyler talked to me. Right
now, I think we're coming towards the end of sign -ups for a 3 -4. That's right. I just think... I don't think we might get another 3 -4. But they're playing. Right? So...
So
you're just wanting to talk to me.
I
think so.
Plus
drop -off. Plus drop -off. And that's what I'm worried about. I'm worried about the drop -off. Because right now, it's like half and half, I think.
If
it's a money problem. With third grade and fourth grade. These third graders moving up... You know, I know... I know a lot of their dads. I mean, I think they're gonna commit to it.
But there's a few that I'm
like... Okay, so he's... They're probably gonna drop off. Right? I guess blitz will be... So... I would
personally... If you think you can handle 40, I would go 49. And then I think weight -listed. Then you get 10 more. Then you're only leaving 10 kids out in the cold. Or 8 kids out in the cold if you...
I can get behind that. I think over 40... Alright, let's set up 40. Okay. I think you're gonna have a lot of first -time coaches struggle with that number.
Yeah.
Struggle with being able to... Let's say you have... Like what... You're gonna do linebackers on defense. What are you gonna do on offense? You got a position group for you?
Um, no. Because we're gonna have... Okay. So,
okay. So you got four guys to do 40 kids. That's 10 a piece for a new coach. That's... I think that would be the left for me. Right. I think any more than that, you're gonna have a hard time being able to keep them focused.
Right. So it'll put
the last... But I
think you could comfortably do 40. I think you got the experience to do 40. I say... Just keeping everybody... And again,
I don't think it'll stay for
40.
I
think
what's gonna happen is... I think...
I
think... I think they're high for you. I'll be...
And that would be... If
he gets to me, I'll just pick a couple good players. Mmm! And
I'm gonna tell you right now, that is one thing we are not doing. That's why he's moving to president. So he can absolutely, unequivocally veto that decision.
Until he's in that position. I'm gonna be like, oh,
definitely not doing it. Nobody's shaking it. We really can use that first grader, man. Can we make an exception? If Kib's score 10 at 140 pounds, I can't get problems. It's like the last three years before...
He's
not.
He's not. He's not. So we have... I was taking pictures of Kib. Not doing that again.
And
submitting their thing... That'll be before. Friday before the Sunday.
I
think it's...
I think
it's... 40 minutes clear. As long as I have that energy... That's a good
point.
I'm just trying to think of... It's not gonna be... I mean, realistically... We're gonna have five...
Five,
six... Okay. Three, four... I'm just hoping that when they go to the meeting... Yeah. When is... When is the meeting? Have you guys got that? The weekend and the 9th or the 11th, I think. For the league meeting?
The league meeting. I haven't heard anything from Brad yet.
He
hasn't put anything out there yet. Because we will have to tell him... But again,
you gotta remember... That's all changing.
So... Is Brad not running? Brad's done. Oh, you weren't at the last meeting. Yeah. He's not running at all?
No, he is for this season.
Yeah, I think for this season... But there's two others that are involved. So all three of them are running it right now. Okay. So there's two from New Albany and they're gonna be taking over. Sounds like your next job.
No. That
guy... That guy...
You
wanna talk about somebody that knows computers? He was running reports and telling us people of how many kids were overweight and this... And all these different grades.
We have
Chad
GBT now. Yes. Yeah. That's fine. I was... I was pretty like... Damn!
I mean that... To
me that was like a full -time job.
Yeah.
Dude, just putting the schedule together for the season. Yeah. Like the 12 iterations he would go through on the schedule and every time he'd put one out a coach would say, oh, that don't work with me. One game, one weekend, one place here and
there.
People have to figure it out this
time. We're in
version 13. Right. Yeah. So... Going back to July,
should we practice that week that they're running camp? Because I think originally we had practice scheduled. That
was the question I had on here because I was... I had the... Was I moving too far ahead for you? No, you're totally fine. We can do that. Yeah,
that
was one of my questions. Practice starts at 27th,
right? The youth
camp and the first day of practice would like coincide like at the same time. So if... I don't know if you want to do that later... Or what... Our first day of practice is
the 21st. That's okay. This is July? Yeah, because the pool party was supposed to be the 20th, I thought, right? The 19th? The 12th. The 19th.
Well,
we had two dates. I'll
just
jump ahead. I'll
jump ahead on that. Sorry. Let me get there. So...
I
did... So I can book the shelter online now. They won't let you call and do anything over the phone anymore. So the shelter is open July 12th. They have two separate areas. They've got this one... I don't know if you can see it down there by the State Park, the big shelter with the enclosed roof and open windows and stuff.
The three -season room?
You
can do that. We could do that one. It is $125 for 4 -8pm. Or the rotary shelter, which is the one we use before, is $60 for
the same
time. The pool is already open July 12th. Okay. Is there any
other dates open for it?
I did look. There was... Hold on. She said that somebody asked to book July 19th, so that next Sunday, but they haven't paid for it yet. So I guess if I can get my paper... Who's pay for it
first? I know. They
changed their process. Like, they wouldn't even let me book it over the phone when I talked to her. She had to email me a form. I have to fill it out. I have to email it back. Then they contacted me and then I didn't pay for it.
So I think they changed their processes. Or she's got open August 16th, that Sunday. She's got the 23rd and 30th, but that runs into our, I think, our games and stuff.
So... In August? Yeah, we don't want to do it in August.
Yeah, I would say the 19th if we can get it. If not, we can always audible to the water balloons.
Okay. So she contacted you already? So I
left a message over the weekend. She called me this morning. Oh,
okay.
So I tried to book it with her over the phone. She said I couldn't. But I had to fill out this form. She had to email me this certain morning. Okay, so that's where I
was
emailing it. Yeah, so I can fill that up tonight and email
it to her.
And then, he's the middle. That's true. He works
there. And then for the 12th, do you guys want to do the big building with the rope over it? Or do you want to do the open? I'd like to correlate
it with the pool party if we could. Okay. So if we had to, we can move. Because it seems like the shelters are going to be more available than the pool. The
only thing is if you have the parent meeting right before the first day of practice, like, parents are gonna, like, I mean, they're gonna... They're not gonna know what they're doing. Yeah, they're not gonna know what equipment, like, like,
first
time, like, parents. I know I got that one year. Like, everybody was mad. I was like, why did we have parent meeting before the first day of practice?
Well, do we have to have it on a Sunday?
Like, do we have it during the week? The parent meeting? No, the pool. Yeah, why not? They asked me on a weekend.
Yeah, you can only do Saturday or Sunday.
Okay. That seems like a lot of some money to know. I mean, if we're not gonna do the parent meeting the same day in the pool, we can always do it at
some parking, break it down, and say, oh, you know, we can't. Right. And do it on an evening. What, do, cheer
one night, three, four. I mean, you can always do your, you can do your parent meetings when your teams break, too. Like, when our teams break, we can meet with our parents. Like, we're gonna meet with three, four, even six.
Right? Like,
this
is...
Yeah, I mean, it's all pretty qualified coaches this year. I imagine you guys can probably handle it. I mean, I, I would say they probably need an overview, just talking to them all for a second. But, um...
Or I could email a parent packet with, like, all the information. I convinced it a lot from what Andrea did last year, because that was crazy. I could email that out to everybody, and then we could just, like, have, like, a quick parent meeting, like, meet your coaches, meet everybody on your team, you get a thousand questions.
It feels like a pool party,
too. But
at least they can save them, you can tell them to save them for the quick meeting.
It's too cool. Oral could do what we did first year, seven on seven, had everybody there for a meeting, then break off.
Yeah.
Talk for 15, then break off, and then coaches talk to the actual parents of their grade level. And that'll definitely happen.
That's how the parent meeting ran the first year we came in for tackle.
Um... I thought that worked out. I mean...
So, our camp's the 11th and 18th. Right. Is that when we have that down?
Yeah. Yeah. That's good. 11th and 18th.
And
then I can tell you. I can tell you. It's gonna be easy. There's a bunch of shit. He's fucking gonna hate it for the first two weeks. I can't see. How do you crack somebody? I'm just vibrating around the house.
Yeah. Breaking them.
Yeah, so the 19th is available for the shelters too, so... I'll get
the... What's
my
shoes you wear? Well... Kip? What do you think? I'd
say
let's just do the parent meeting at the... I have seven.
I have
seven. He's like a six and
a half,
I think. I'll
get
the... Probably after the first day, the only 11th. I'm not far. After this. Is everybody here available for the 11th and 18th?
No, you're out. Which weekend? Both of them? Just the 11th. The 9th and the 11th?
The parent game?
I can say Matt's my defensive coordinator.
He tries not to get scored on very often. No. Does a decent job at it. I don't know. I don't know. Yeah. How much are you gonna do without your linebackers pitch this year?
Same thing I did without the linebackers pitch last year. Oh. And the year before that. Did you hear
those turnovers on the sixth grade team last year? I believe it was the linebackers. Oh my god. I think Skeet's had four picks all by himself.
He also scored all the touchdowns. He did.
He did.
He
did. I think
we should.
You don't have to be there but.
Yeah. It's a Saturday. It's
a Saturday.
It's a Saturday. It's
a 5 -8. August 11th? July. Oh, it's July 11th? Sorry, I have one too there but like they say, probably should be good to get him a week to go shopping. Yeah, you're
good.
Don't let me sit there now.
Yeah, we'll be.
Are you guys doing okay on staff? Did they come back? Hold on. You said August, July. I was like, that's a Tuesday. No, July. So, July 11th. Yeah, as far as I know. Yes, we'll be, we will be.
We'll be down a lot over the morning. So, he just went off this way.
We just won't be here in the week of
the 18th. So, we'll be here in the week after. Yeah, so if you can get the 19th, great. If not, let me know and I'll, I'll just schedule up some water balloons.
I thought that was a good time when we did it. Yeah, I thought it was a good time.
But if we can get the 19th, I can jump off the highland. Well, you better get down there and start politicking.
Kissing some babies.
Okay, what do you think about your car eating?
Are you out at 21, 11?
No. No, she has camped that day.
Okay, 11, so let you change. Okay,
what do you think about, do you want to do your car eating then? What are I going to still stick with as well?
Okay.
Do you want to do the ice for us?
I mean, yeah.
Okay.
Because when, are we, is it the 27th? Is it our birthday allowed on it? No, it's.
Yes.
Acclimation week. So, acclimation week is the week of the 20th.
See, we learned two meetings ago that if you call it camp, then they can do that.
Wear helmets? Yeah.
The big one that was out there conditioning a month ago. So, let's say no, we're up against. Yeah, we see the scoreboard every year.
They don't even
care to hide it. They just post it right on Facebook.
You can do anything that's optional.
Yeah, I
know.
That's why we're out here doing seven on seven for three months.
Should just be running their feet off. You never have to make it official.
But,
like, if you guys have a conditioning like the middle school does. I was thinking the same thing. I was thinking getting out there earlier, but I think I'm probably just going to spend an extra week with my son in offense, guys.
That's wrong.
We'll
go
here soon. He's going to be out there with you. I know.
So,
I had on here the 19th, the draft for teams. You can cancel out. Okay.
Yeah, we're not going to draft.
Okay. And then, so go ahead and start the first day of camp, the 20th. And is that going to be every day, Monday through Monday? See, might as well
just call that practice. We'll just practice without helmets.
Okay.
Practice without helmets? Optional practice. It doesn't have to be optional unless we're wearing helmets.
All right. We just call it conditioning. Condition.
Do
you want to do every day? Just call it
practice because it's a car conditioning. It won't show up. Do you want to do Monday through Thursday? Yeah, Monday through Thursday.
It's due to whatever.
And 530?
Yeah, 530 to 730.
Okay. If the sun keeps staying out late, you might not have to shift the fall.
29 years of my life is telling me that it'll change.
I ain't seen it out this early or this late, this early in the
year. And then the second week, do you want to do?
10 o 'clock
at night trying to go to bed.
Are you following this too? Huh? You guys are both flat earthers right now or what? It's
not
flat earth. It's not flat
earth.
It's
just the sun
tells
me.
It's shit. I wake up at 510 and it's spinning weird. It's 90 degrees here. Something wrong. At least you're not one years old trying to figure out why you're going to bed and the sun's still up. Yeah.
Or fighting
it. Well, that goes girl. Man, that guy puts up a fight. I know. We interrupted.
No, it feels fine. And so the week of the 20th, Monday through Thursday, 530, 730, just comments? Just shorts.
Shorts and cleats.
Shorts and cleats. Second week comments? Yep. Okay.
So that's... Oh,
when do we want to... What day do you want to do equipment pickup?
Can you pick one of those these that we just have been after practice? I only have my personal... Good call. ...or during. Nah.
After
is... Let them stick around. Does that make sense,
right?
Like do three, four on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday? Yeah.
What were we... We shouldn't be short on any sizes, colors or creeds on pads. You know, so it doesn't really matter who does what they...
I mean, doing three, four floors really helped, I think. Okay. With not having them swimming.
I don't know. The action bars don't fit his head. I'm
serious.
Okay, big bro. Do you have to buy a
different one?
I might have to buy a pumpkin. Shave it. T, you got Tuesday the 21st.
Your hat handout after practice. I may have one to wear after this next year. Yeah, I can do that. I looked at a trench one. 500 bucks. I bought John and... Bobby Ogadley at Wednesday. 22nd. He needed a helmet for his other team.
So, it's a white helmet. That's one of them. Well, Guardian caps. There's three floors in the morning, right?
I mean, I'll try to be there for all
of you.
Actually, we didn't... We had every kid where... Oh, man.
I practice and... I got something exciting to tell you.
Rip it up. You want to hear it, too? Let's see. Oh, yeah. So, everybody here knows Parker Miller, right?
Apparently, him and his older brother, Grayson. Grayson. Might be something different. They were driving around the neighborhood digging people's houses on Friday. So, his dad calls me Saturday morning. He says, hey, what's Nick's number? Apparently, they got Nick's house.
After they ding -donged him this winter.
So, what's Nick's number? Yeah, I'll send it to you. He says, let me know if you got any outside work for these two boys. So, we're going to go over and scrub the shed. Wait,
Parker. Is that the kid that zips around my neighborhood in his fucking life? Yeah, he lives right around the car. So, this little punk -ass friend, G, he has a friend. I fucking watched him on two stop signs.
I pulled his ass over and my cruiser, and he was fucking shitting. I'm
sure. Sure.
I believe that. He was almost... I love that. Can
you come over
my
neighborhood,
please? He was poor. You can jump. I told him,
for
sure. If I catch you on this again, I'm impounding your e -bike, and I'm writing you a citation. And he just...
I'm waiting for
football.
Pettled it all the way home. I was like, well, please don't die. Right. That's important. Yeah. One of his little asshole friends that lives over there is his buddy. It starts with a G? Yeah, someone's having his name now.
E -bikes terrified me after my brother was hit. There's no way to ever get on an e -bike.
So, needless to say, we're going to have a spotless shed here in the next week or so.
So, once I figure out a day, I'll let you guys know we can help put those helmets away. Get some of those boxes out of the way, and then maybe you can help me drag some stuff out, and I'll have them put it back in.
But I'm going to get some scrub brushes and let them scrub that thing down.
Will the Guardian cap don't get wet because Kaylee and I put them in a bucket on the very top shelf all together. Man,
you guys are so generous. It's very
nice.
They're very organized. All the Guardian caps are together.
We were freezing when we were taking those things off just so you know. Yes! You should have snapping
helmet straps. Kaylee was like, Kaylee was like, be careful up there. There's bugs. I'm like, it's... There won't be
more parkers done. There's those mud dauber things. Yeah, they
can get up the mud daubers or whatever in there snapping those
off.
Break the mess off.
That'd be amazing. We spent three hours fixing the setup because we had
new things in there. So we're fine. We'll meet
you now. Okay. So... Hopefully the new president's better
at that.
Keep them in line.
Okay. Somebody had mentioned in the chat about placing signs in the city to help us sign up.
I might have a couple signs. I mentioned that. I don't know. I'm just... I know... Kaylee was like, they're just... We're putting them up and then taking them down. I don't know. Maybe just one day.
I can talk to the people at Mingo. They let me put some signs up there before. I feel like that'd be decent traffic right now with baseball coming in and some soccer.
I
have
two in my garage.
Yeah. That too. What's
that?
I
mean, even
kids
going
to the pool. Yeah. Like, right. Right. That's right.
There's a pool.
Right. Should
be seven of those lining Mingo.
But I mean, I think we've done everything that we can. It's... Yeah. We're either going to sign up. We might just not have done it this
year.
Tyler, you mentioned that you're going to do a sign up.
Yes. Yeah. So I need...
What are
those
days?
The... The 20th, 21st, and 22nd. Doing what again? Doing the sign up booth at Hayes Camp.
Yeah. I think that's you. I thought so too. I think that's probably the best thing we can do. I thought so too. Right? So... It's so late. I mean, I
get... It's so late. We've already got two weeks. Yeah. We had our camp already. You've already started putting this out. Yeah. That's the shitty part. Where we find linemen. Dude, even if we can take up... I have a problem with linemen.
What's the times for that? There's some big ass eight to four.
There's some big boys.
Over
100 pounds?
At least three. Yeah. If you can get a day... If you can get a Monday... We can give Kaylee a Tuesday. We're going to have his life out there. Or a Wednesday. You can have your children. Dan said yes.
I have to have a cheerleader, sir. That's my first day
of practice.
The president needs more than cheerleaders. The 20th is my first day of
practice.
I saw Pacheco's over there. They finally signed up. They did a ball high. Two -mother and his other linebackers.
She never
understands how you
try and solve it. And then lift her head.
You should have heard some of these moms out at first. They were in a parent. They were like... Bobby was trying to talk to this
one. They just started yelling.
That's his
part.
Yeah, she won't come here.
I'm going to try to do a whole -boy's just party on the night. You can't do...
And I tried talking to her. Like, these women are nice. Like, they won't let their kids do anything.
And then maybe... You obviously got Cooper's number. Maybe talk to her. See if she can help us run the sign -up table one of those three days. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. She says she's dying to help.
I'll put her to work.
She'll be our team mom this year. What's that? She's already been voted team mom. Oh, I know. She
didn't even ask me. She was like, oh yeah, I got a digital document scanner. We'll just put all that shit right up on a cloud.
So why don't you do your parent meeting like 20 minutes after
our cheer camp? And parents can hang around for 15, 20 minutes. They can ask questions. We can just leave it open. But then, your parents that are not registered for fall are going to leave.
The only problem with doing that is we don't have first and second graders. coming to fall.
That's what I'm saying. They're already gone.
Second graders, right? Is that going through?
In the fall?
Going into second.
They'll type in the grade
if they're already. We don't have time to get there. You're a big baby. Oh, you're a big baby. Because I'm in third grade. I tell you, you're already in third
grade. Yeah. Kevin, so two days and how much before four pads? Yeah.
Yeah. Do one. And then you go hold down two on one.
You want to do it right after?
Keeps going around. Everybody.
Hi. And then, I
thought
you don't like girls. Let's see. So then I had 4th of July parade. I did submit her application and insurance. She knows the truth about you.
So
the guy emailed me down. He didn't receive it. So the parade's 11 o 'clock, 4th of July. Can't throw things out. Kind of like last year, it's pretty much the same needs to show up at the fairgrounds to check in between 8 and 10.
Because you were one of our trucks. Yes.
They'll meet at Selby Stadium. Yeah. Like if you watch the parents to pick up and I can send an email out to everybody.
Yes. Yes, definitely. Yeah, I was thinking, I was just thinking about posting it on Facebook as soon as we got the information. You said the parade kicks off at 11. It walks off at 11. So probably like a, I don't think they have to be out there for years like we have had them in the past.
Maybe like even a 10 .30
would
be finer. 10 .15 drop off time.
Yeah. Yeah, because it was hot last year.
But I think after, yeah, I think after 10 .30 it's going to be tight to get into the complex. And they'll have to be walking and we'll have to go pick people up and whatnot. Do we have enough trucks?
10 .15 I think.
Okay.
Yeah, we have...
Because I know Justin said he could put his truck in there because it's from... We'll
have one from Chesron and we'll need their ears and mine. I'm sure. We'll figure it out.
Okay.
I wouldn't even, I would just see her play out
there. Just
let me know I have to wash it. That was my... We want our kids to walk because it's like the first time they're all going to be together. Yeah. Can we correct
our parent meeting for cheer? Okay. We're just going to do it the 11th. Okay. Right after our camp.
Which is... Eight to noon. Eight to
noon. And then we'll do...
We'll catch
them up.
We'll catch them up. They're probably returning cheerleaders. They're only
two hours for a meeting, right? Mm -hmm.
About
30 to 2 .30? Yeah. Okay. We'll do that. If it takes that long.
Parents packets. Are we doing two separate packets? Yes. Because they
get confused.
I'll plan on emailing out the parent packet that I will do. I'm going to send that out on to all the parents before the parent meeting. So that way they can have it, look over it. Some people I know still want their attention but at least the majority of people might look at their emailing.
Right. We got it.
Yeah. When you send that out I'll post on Facebook. If you have any questions make sure to re -read the email.
Yeah.
It's probably in the email.
Yeah.
Team, team, team. Yes.
Okay. And then scholarships to bring that up and talk about that. Is it any other questions or any other tips?
Joe, do we have any scholarships left? We have all the scholarships left. I mean, anybody asking for one? Nope.
Oh, I got a I got a Facebook messenger.
I imagine I'll get a couple. So historically the last two years it hasn't picked up until probably like mid -July. That's when it starts to really come in. It's because people are like oh shit and you sign for football oh shit I can't report that oh shit can I still play out of the way.
Yeah. Can you text me the email that you use for the sponsor scholarships? I got I got a couple I got a guy I went to school with he's got three sons. They're both about two years apart and they are
they've been doing everything they can do to get by pretty much since the first one was born. So I think it could be a good and they're like they seem to be active people in the community if we can get them into the program I think they'll help us out and move forward.
Can
you send it to me too Joe? So Emily Showalter I know that name Oh
I know that name too!
I know
Michael Showalter
So she was wanting to
know Oh that was Oh no No
That was He's bringing his kid back
Wasn't that the guy
I knew there was something and I didn't
Is that No Stranger? Yes I remember that It was that guy Guy with the long hair Yeah no way Yeah
No question No way
No
Alright That name gave me a bad feeling but I couldn't remember exactly what was going on so I wanted to
ask His name was Michael wasn't it? Or Mike? I don't know I didn't like his face either Alright He
was weird and creepy So the son's name was Max? I think so
Yeah
I just hope he's not going to be an issue but He won't be an issue He won't be I'm just He gaps his mouth a lot so In the stands and so
Oh is he the one that was asked to leave? Oh yeah
And that he I don't know if he he left the coaching staff there
Yeah The best part about having 30 plus kids is that Yeah
Yeah
Why? Yeah really at the 3 -4 level you don't need any scholarship I mean like I think everybody
paid We have one that's it He was sponsored by a family Yeah You should have I don't know I check the email daily I mean I was caught off guard in May when I was getting a request I was like whoa that's weird It's never been that early It was Junior Pacers Care right?
And your page is centered now with an S Pacers Yeah I just said in the board Oh Yeah
And then for chair Kaylee
Let's see While we're just at the parent meeting our first day of practice has been started on the 20th or starting with practices Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays until school starts
Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays so four days Yeah
But Friday's kind of optional We're going to try to
bring in what Papa knows for Fridays where they do a team dinner It is We're going to see if parents want to do like a potluck evening any of the girls that missed the previous three days they can review motions chants talk socialize
So Friday's going to be optional And then once we start school it'll drop down to just Tuesday, Thursdays Friday optional
Our uniforms are ordered So that's Good Foes are ordered
Pay
for too right?
Pay for too Yep
We might have a couple things to get
to start the season I know Tyler and I were talking about getting some like I guess they're called gymnastic mats They pulled up like an accordion kind of They're like two foot vices
Yeah
We really want to start teaching the girls how to do cartwheels because there's a lot of the girls that are coming into third grade that don't know how to do a cartwheel and I think two of them will be a pretty good idea to have probably like $36 on Amazon So we're going to get a couple
I told her it could help us teach tackling too Some of the kids are a little weary of hitting the ground Hitting the ground
But for $36 for a three foot by six foot Yeah I know That's good
Those are probably $1 ,000 So we're pretty much paid with everything with $27 ,000 in the bank Correct
Well we've got to pay we've got to pay for the school For
this year
coming up We'll
have
to pay for the school We'll have to pay for We'll have to pay for the refs Correct But that's zero Really
zero Everything we have has
been paid for at this point And I've just stuff moving forward for the year's expenses I mean really if I'm
raising coverage
expenses for the rest of the year I think I think it would be good for us to be very careful and to try to use this as a good banking since we did do well with uniforms and helmets and you know what I mean I think every year it seems like we've done something big like you know maybe this is a year where we kind of hold back a little bit
Simplify Simplify
retain kids that's our We're still going
to do the the cloth package What? The cloth package that we do Yeah
Kids love it No just if we fundraise sponsorships and everything I'm just saying Tyler's Gator might have to wait another year
Might have to build another shad Depends on how we do on the spaghetti dinner because I think if we get at it in August Yeah It's going to be a full core pressure whole year Yeah that's the only thing that we are doing I think that that could be $15 ,000 $20 ,000 in the positive for us Yeah We just we
didn't market it for
a
long time Because this is last year for jerseys right? Yes This is the last cycle year Yep What's the plan What's the plan practice jerseys after? Is that the plan? Probably But if we have a bunch of good
ones why not just use them
again? I mean Or should we reevaluate at the end of the year?
Yeah I would say reevaluate because like see how many sign up I mean they're holding
up quite well They are I think it's because we're kind of a lot of turf We are I think
that helps
Well and are we giving away two jerseys this year? No We're going to just give them one We haven't given any jerseys Oh You're talking about Are we doing a game and a I was going to say why not just buy some
like cheap mesh ones? That would be Is that an expense?
Because they look super similar like Yeah You know why not just hold on to those and just buy some super cheap mesh jerseys? Is there a way that we could get all of
those just sitting around?
So I got a question I mean I get it but we're just sitting and we're going to start clearing some stuff out of here that I put up there that are different
We've been selling it
No
they were red That's what we've been selling it first Fridays Yellow We're getting down there Yeah I have a whole inventory list Is there a way that we can incorporate
a loose mesh practice jersey into the cloth package?
I already got a 21 I'm good That I didn't buy
If you don't want to hand out two jerseys No You're going to want to
spend it Yeah because at that point we can start selling the practice jersey Yeah That's that's dumb We just do
what we did I honestly feel like this we have more than one year with the jerseys we have now I think so too Yeah
I mean there's some that are I would want to change it but I wouldn't want to spend the money Oh man They're so expensive Dude they are so expensive We got
lucky that we got to set free Yeah Over a bush it was real not noticed
Tyler said they were red
Nah those weren't red
He's like They're red They're different I can tell you that They weren't what I ordered Bullshit or not 17 grand That's so
much I
mean sure we have the right orange They last in your uniforms I mean
that was the best complaint we've ever had Right 100 % Yeah I'd do that again I
think
we keep rolling
Yeah Let's reevaluate it But I mean
we could do that too like you're saying is leave them as practice reviews and then see where we are budget wise at the end of the
year I'm saying I'm saying I like I like your idea What would it cost to get a couple to get a hundred mess jerseys I don't think it would be $2 a jersey I don't think it would be that much We could sell we could sell that the first set that we got the red set 10 -15 bucks We could sell it this season to match with their uniforms for 20 bucks I bet you there's 100 moms that are small enough to fit in one of those jerseys their size that would pay 20 bucks for
practice
Yeah
I don't know Can I look into it Yeah sure I'll look into it Yeah look into the cost
of a mess jerseys I think if it's less than two or three bucks the greatest thing about those jerseys that we have right now that are reversible is that you can set a whole scout team on it on one color
I'll just get a black and a white and
we're adding the girls to the
buck because they're regular jerseys those are high Oh no I agree I 100 % agree they suck in the beginning of the season more towards like the orange
I think I was just going to make sure I think
it would be fine we don't want white
we had them in high school and they looked brown white turns into brown very quickly
I know we have a bunch of ideas going on
I
know I would like to add the girls in at least for one article if it's a hoodie or if it's a teacher we have to come up with a better design this year as well for a new design so it's not which I think
you guys are good at doing that
so obviously Tyler's going to have to prove it
yeah I don't wear my cloth package so feel free to do whatever you want to with it I don't even get a cloth package so you know what Kayla
we need to design something good enough that Tyler will actually want to buy a cloth package
oh that's not going to be possible you know how much junior faces I have in my closet for free
you like this little one
yeah I like that there was also when you guys do with horses too
oh it's on the back yeah our horses is on the back I
like that one too I'm just going to buy
I
think I'm just going to buy that
one's definitely not our horse has a bow on it
but you can
sport the bow for us if you want
no it was not that one it was like two horses together that's for one or that's for two
horses together that's what we need
like without a football program we
don't have a cheer that is very true
I love the cheer we've done very well listen I have a three year old football player at
home trust me I hear about football every day
let's go three four let's go I would do mesh for less than five because we can sell those jerseys for no less than ten they cost us $65 a piece so
I have the logo that we made with the Guardian cap on top oh the one without the 70 on 7 yeah hey I'm just trying to get everything out right now I have it I
have it all you probably got about 75 others bullet points right no
not too much it kind of ties into the last one it's the online store are there any updates merch designs so that I would
love to have some new stuff to present to him he can do it all we just have to give it to him every time we give him a new design it costs him $150 to put it on the website we have to really stay away from the D do we make any oh yeah how did we do on that how do
you why do you have to stay away from the D
because he's got it online and we had somebody call us out on the Detroit D
not if it doesn't have the two it
just needs I'm just telling you that he had to take three items off because
that D is copyrighted but the old English which you can barely tell the difference is not you can't copyright the old English
oh you're talking about just
yeah the old English
yeah some of the two little I mean it
could
be something in between the two
I really do think we could find it actually I got his shirt it's just got the old English
yes it only has one
yeah that's not copyright
we just need to slightly adjust slightly modify the D that's not going to treat D but if you guys want to come up with more ideas we can present them to him and he can change
it you
can drop this
one
that's the yeah so
that's yeah that's our football player for the Guardian
and then we
had our two cheerleaders but that was mainly
did you say sorry I'm going to miss did
you
say how much we made off that I
don't
know the exact total but we did get two royalties from it so it was probably like a quiver check can we leave that open all year round yes thank you
thank
you you
pushed that it is open
all year
round yeah
it's open all year round it just ships directly so he had
sales this summer on stuff like that he's held that money to go to the fall to go towards our royalties maybe
that's something we bring up at the coaches meeting each coach yeah
yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
yeah
yeah especially the new third graders right yeah
is the junior Pacers
trademarked not that I know it might be time to start that conversation I need to be looking at that why somebody comes in here and tries to pop it so it's trying to start another program but there's junior Pacers
basketball it's um there's there's quite a few junior Pacers so yeah
I
don't think it's trademarked though yeah yeah exactly so all I'm saying is I don't put nothing past that dude it is already I'm putting nothing past him
by the junior NBA they hold the name junior Pacers for the junior version of the Pacer basketball team
fine but as long as somebody else has it that's not coming into Delaware nobody's going to
as
long as nobody they have to come unseat us first as long as we do our job that's not going to be possible one I mean it's already been tried by three different people and they don't they just don't have the back the way this all came together was enough enough people I politicked with were pissed off at the at the league and it turned into 10 or 15 people that really wanted to get it together not only that I had the 5th graders that were becoming 6th graders but also we co -coached that 3rd grade class 3rd and 4th grade class so we had every single kid that was in the program under our influence it's not going to happen no offense yeah when it's all about getting too big for your britches
it's going to be Alex that's what so TJ I had called TJ and had a conversation with him and I told him I was like me being on his staff I was like I want us to protect these 3, 4 kids as much as we can and I told him I was like I wanted his opinion I was like I kind of I kind of want to watch TJ this year and he's going to stay next year and I kind of want to go with him to 5th grade so they'll have that influence with me and we can retain kids I mean one thing Paul and I did well is that we kept kids in the program for 3 years and like we have to do that with these 3, 4 kids it's a good chance to start over right now we're trying to just chase 5th and 6th graders down like we have to start right now and if I can have a year of being like yeah I'm going to be your coach next year and get them bought in and come back that's what I want to do hopefully so we have to really juice them up and keep them and word will spread it's important
so we'll see where it's at
but I'll
tell you
you guys have any kind of fun ideas that keep these kids more entertained than just coming out yeah that's what I was thinking too like I was saying coming out and practicing football I mean let it let it fly keep them like whether that whether that means we need to like the first 2 or 3 weeks of practice all the head coaches get together we do a 1 -2 -3 1 -2 -3 and we do a relay race with all 3 grades you know 3 levels something like that that just gets out of the mundane mundaneness of tackling blocking and running to where they're like oh this is like playing with my friends not not coming to go attack our cheerleaders love the relay
race when we did it in spring I was like you know what y 'all need to run let's do a relay they ended running until they found out that they could pass the front pause the kids that
Kevin's going
to
have some free time he can run I actually I work I go to camp the
fun
coordinator
I'm officially stepping down Kevin a fun coordinator
I want to see the day we run a dunk tank and we start we start throwing the balls at a dunk tank to dunk the coaches either fundraise or whatever
I didn't
point at you you did I pointed at all the coaches she's just the only case I've ever seen dunk the floor I'll
pull
the chair to go first who's going to throw the ball at me why are we
dunking people I'll buy the first ticket
listen they are what I tell you they're you can rent one from Ace Hardware for I think how big is the I want
to do it for first Friday I've got the other donated to us yeah I want to do it for first Friday remember whenever Shalcoat holy shit is there any way that we can pull that motherfucker behind the truck up for the porch of that because that'd be epic that
would be crazy I don't know if our insurance is over it the water's
going shh we had a flatbed we put that fucker up there oh no throwing stuff we'll go straight away we can't
even sit in the truck you can't even sit in the truck right
that's not true kids sat in that for
two years
you
don't have to throw things just have a button right on the side of the truck have kids run up press that button
no I can't it's flat does anybody have a mannequin by the way so we can draw some mask up into it
or some blown insulation
I'm single I'm not that single
I saw the
eyes I saw the eyes we get the police
can I play this can I play this this is me not saying anything can I play this my phone fell off of Amazon
no I didn't sign a mask on no the problem the problem would be you could be a kid size and that's really good I think that's crazy he's gonna call he made it creepy yeah
we're having fun okay so that's all I have anybody else have anything oh so yeah just the gym whatever gymnastics mats whatever I need to get three hula hoops and maybe it's just so attractive oh so we still have hats um there might be a few different types that we need to still order if we want to I
know a lot
of the moms want to get ponytail ones so I have Mark working on a design and we're gonna we're not gonna do the ponytail hat that we had
last year this one is it's magnetic
so you can wear it as a regular hat you can open it on top for a high ponytail you can open it in the back for a low ponytail and then when you don't want to wear it with a ponytail you can just wear it they're called pony backs yeah technically
I knew it you let
that sucker breathe
just
on the back side just on the low side I ain't talking
nothing about hair dude you can
okay so we're working on that and then when they get the design and so
the things that you need go ahead and buy unless anybody has okay
no we'll coordinate on the maps
I'm gonna say
it sounds like less than 200 bucks so we have sleds we have sleds for the little kids probably 15 for the younger
ones we have one sled for the big for the older kids so we don't need that what about step builders do we need to do we need to just bring a sewing kit and fix those yeah the yellow ones could use stitched up for sure but we have plenty of black ones yes
so as far as pads or anything I'll tell you what I don't know what you guys think about a real pop -up dummy the one we have that brown one will stand up but it won't pop up
yeah yeah you mean one that kind of comes back yeah oh man that'd be a great investment yeah it would
what about the the like tripod thing that we had that we looked at if
we
got two or three yeah no sorry you know that like tripod looking thing yes why don't
we get one of those nah don't get
it I think no I think the because I like that too I mentioned that probably a year ago I think we can get pop -up ones three pop -ups for the same price and we'll be able to store it a little easier because I think you might have to store that thing whole or even if you don't it might I don't know I mean the the tripod on it at the very least will be listen Johnny couldn't even move that thing
that thing is massive they it's I mean they got one at the high school oh my god no we got one at Dempsey yeah yeah Flynn got it and Flynn thought it was like the best you know investment Johnny
couldn't tackle that thing dude it's it's
hard like even even that 8th grade class had issues you're talking about the jack
you didn't call it
a
jack where it like sticks up and you tackle it and
the
next part's up yes yeah it's a drive like a yeah yeah just like that that's a jack yeah we call it a jack
sorry
I watched the video I don't know like man this is cool yeah the video they
make it look easy especially when you're the
coach it's holding the pad you have to pick it up more chasing the wheel yeah more chasing the wheel there's
like center pop -ups yeah
your jack tackler or something that's all over well
we've
since the seven on seven we put ten thousand dollars in the bed so I think we can afford
equipment some extra equipment and we gotta
keep you know updating that too but then why do we hear I mean we're running out of space and that's well I'll tell you
those freaking uh
cheers got those little heavy orange things that
we're using those things could probably give us a trash can what is it the blocking tents or whatever you want to call
them
yeah
oh yeah have you talked to the city about space yet because they offered us up the front part that's the concession stand yeah they offered us something and they said we needed more space there's still a lot
of stuff in there too
well there were someone else was using it but they said that they could move them over into the other one and give us that see they told a couple years
ago
that's not as
big as what we
have not not I'm just saying in addition to that not as a replacement they told me they keep all their
field management equipment in the front shed because I thought about putting our sled out there or the Gatorade out there they put it they keep it all they keep all their mowers and whatnot in that shed in between the baseball field yeah yeah right so if baseball were to have to find another spot they might be pressed for
it no they were telling us that they could put baseball in the concession over there oh on the
far concession was where it should be in the first place exactly yeah I think we're okay at this second on space I think if we keep we keep filling it with shit yeah we'll be we'll be out of space I
think it'd be
nice for a cheer
to have a space because we're working out of a corner between two rounds you have space do you remember
you don't remember because you weren't here but you didn't have a space at all yeah we
did it was next to the front door when I walked in the first time and we had two bins we should just I'm going to tell you that
we
had a shelf
and it would be it would be
nice if we had that space then you could have that whole room you could literally we would take one corner of
the
new room you could have the whole back and you could have our space well
you could
have a
whole new room if you go fight for it who talks to the city though anybody so
what's her name is not there anymore yeah
which is probably a good thing it's
actually a bad thing because the other ladies are not any better I don't know she seems
fine with me maybe you give these ladies a bad time I
emailed like
three times I don't know she just said she was calling from the first room you
must rub
these ladies the wrong way we're not rubbing them at all so we could call and find out what the cost is on it but there wasn't even a cost
I mean I think it would
be nice and
then you know all the chair stuff would be together and if you guys needed extra space or anything then there would be extra space you guys would have room to grow we would already have it so
there's no there's no extra cost there's no cost as long as we're a non -profit and we don't discriminate that's all they care about then it's free discriminate? oh god
okay oh
we discriminate yeah we had an autism if you shut down remember no
I helped
I reached out and I helped they're going to go to the camp that's out
oh yes I do but she did give them the link I did that's already done the buddy camp I think that's what it's called
yep yeah
yeah because you
guys are terrified we might as well be terrorists I mean
we don't we don't all have our special education degrees
nobody's bringing
that no
they had a kid come in sorry they had a kid come in to safety town today that was fucking no way and literally my boss said gone and I was like can't get in trouble for that like nope get out that's the city's problem I can
tell you the city's blocking anybody from opening and rolling right now
we don't have space well it's not the
city it's the school district we're also kicking kids out because we're getting some of them in there fucking assholes I'm just saying
I mean we had
well we're we kick out the ones that
bring guns to school
sometimes sometimes
on the third offense they keep looking to come back yeah
you
got an ankle monitor good
come
on at least we know we are
but alright well does anybody have anything else yeah so we're gonna add free and reduced lunch checkbox into the registration for next year it unlocks some grants so I don't know if we ask our current registrations if they're on free or reduced lunch but I was like do we have to feed these kids lunch I was like wondering why you're laughing if you're on
free or reduced lunch you should be talking to me well
they should be too yeah but they may not know that but just the fact that they are apparently can unlock some of the grants for us there are some commission right and then as far as grants go there are a few of them that I'm gonna send in one of them's with like the Delaware County commissioners and that opens up it should be open this month and ends the 990 though how far are we on that to getting that done for last year I haven't really started okay we did do the one before that though right yep okay
maybe all we need to submit to them so we'll find out the DNO insurance though too I don't think our policy has it so I looked over it we should ask them for a quote yeah at least confirm if I can drop them a note too and make sure
when I re -up it for this season I will
it's due the 30th right yeah so that'll cover us and then I think that's all I have
I have two things one I would like to if we maybe do like half payment now half payment later let me figure that out
we've always we've had that available to just reach out and then we'll give them a code so that it'll cover half of their costs and then we'll just have to collect from some other form they won't pay the other half on TeamLinked they'll either Venmo or pay the club on the Zelle or whatever and
then they're also I would like us to start looking into I know that one is at Smith Park but a possible like portable 80 so we're looking at it for our baseball team
we were getting that from the city did we not get it this year it's down there it's down there oh yeah there's one installed there there's one there's one installed at Smith Park yeah but portable do you want to get a portable one on to go game do we
have to be you have to
be
trading on that yeah okay which he is I am narc
is there like any liability that us personally that's
why we have the insurance
I
don't
know anyone
that's first aid CPR
CPR how much are they you know 1200 I think we'd
probably need more than one we would look into someone donating them or something I mean shouldn't a traveler I wouldn't need a traveler but nurses at the games will have new schools have to have them and we have them at the practice built for
schools to add by one because I just like A's A's just got a brand new one does
the market yeah I
would imagine Bevelheimer to be the last place that has one but I bet you they have one up in that restroom facility I
just didn't know that was just something I wanted to look into that's something
we can bring up at the meeting no I agree with you
here's the thing I don't know where it's at I've coached there three years I don't want it's I don't know where one is at Hayes and when you're dealing with cardiac arrest every single second counts it doesn't matter everyone needs to know it needs to be a giant thing where there it is everyone sees it I don't you've seen the one at
Smith right
it's right in
the
of the shed on the
front under the owning it's just got
installed here the
trail
cam is in
there I'm pretty sure it's in like where it's
in the concession stand isn't it yeah
away I mean is this something too that we
actually I think they got two one in the way and
one in the home
I think it's something we talk to our kids about too honestly the kids
need to know where it's at because the first thing you do is you yell for someone to get the AED and call for help so while you're doing compressions someone's got to know where it's at
something to stay on top of as we're talking to the coaches and everything I mean like I have the list together that I'll send out this weekend of what I think the coaches should take so I got that together so and CPR AED is part of that so I think that if you're a head coach you should be CPR trained so
when you guys get your list of locations from the COIFL they should
be on there
if we call them individual ones and ask them where it's at will they tell me I mean
how
many locations is that I
mean that's something we can bring up at our meeting 18 yeah right
yeah
I
think that would be a great
question yeah like whenever you're there like they should tell everyone where they're at like the pre -coach
meeting yeah
yeah
but we'll talk about it at the COIFL right yeah we'll bring that off just say hey yeah but I agree at the pre -coach meeting can everybody kind of email and say
hey this is where you know so when we visit can we know where it is right because we're going on
basic first aid technically we're not supposed to put any kind of medications in the first aid kit so we took all that stuff out the only thing that I think we'll have to purchase for first aid this year is ice packs yeah everything else we have band -aids I mean I still think
we should look into home games having somebody you know on the field but so I mean I know that's been a we bring that up every season
as a coach
no you're talking to a trainer oh a trainer trainer yeah
so dude it's I mean you're right
we didn't have
one last year I know we didn't but if you expect us to reasonably get over to that AED machine in time as we're all just volunteer coaches I don't know if that's going to be possible like
in the middle of the game you go out there it's you got to diagnose it first and then you have to have the wherewithal to say okay we need the AED and at that point you're probably 30 seconds to a minute at
the
very least then you still have to run over to the to the concession stand drag it out
I mean it might be three or four minutes before you get out there so I think if you're going to be lobbying for a mobile AED we might as well have a trainer we might as well have a trainer somebody who's trained to operate it ready to jump on it not has to go out to respond
yeah
and thinking about what kids coming in next you're encountering an unconscious
child go period yeah there's no it's not anyone that's unconscious it's an immediate what
happens if you shock them at that's not the issue it won't
it won't work it won't
it won't
training you said like the training that's what you don't analyze the heart I mean if there's no life
it'll
tell you
even if they're not cows you go straight to that and you get it because you put the pads on right
it'll check it'll say analyze rhythm it'll say shock advised everybody move and then it'll say start see go it'll walk you
tell you everything that you
need somebody's fine and that's why everybody should have
first aid kit especially if you're away right that way I mean scissors need to be in there because if you need to cut that jersey you know I mean so most of them like if you go to one with Tangie that have a trainer New Albany has a trainer Big Walnut I think has a trainer what was the so we're about really I mean we're probably the only one maybe not the only one but big school that probably really should have a trainer I mean we have a trainer for high school yeah high school
is nationwide and they use the athletic trainers in nationwide so does so does so we got a quote before
every school that we go to yeah some
of them are is Ohio Health but the majority of them is nationwide
but I mean we can call nationwide and they can have us a person that comes up it's just not
cheap you can call Delaware City too see how much they charge for a paramedic it's just special duty rate for them it's probably around I don't
know
$60 $70 now
and
with us only having three teams it's not as long as 9 o 'clock in the morning
I can't remember
but he's a medic I tried to do that because we definitely got it yeah we're talking more like
why
can't I
think of his name
serious shit but was there a couple I think there
was one weekend that not all three teams were there it's because we had four teams does
anybody know a paramedic?
yeah and we no last year we had three Tennessee
the guy who
takes our photos is actual a paramedic but I can't think of his name yeah Travis
Travis
yeah
he does our
you know
what he works a lot though yeah he's
an
old he's an old on tangy he's in he's over in the Berlin area he's because he was on a 36 the other night when I went and picked up his shirt but
normally he's there anyway I don't know if he'll let it out yeah she goes I
don't
know man I don't know if any of those guys could do that on the side I don't know how that would be I don't think they can you
can no
I mean they can you can you can donate you can donate you can
donate your time you can donate your
time you can donate
a day we
can just note that we can do some searching around yeah so let's get a quote just get a quote for it it's probably easier to close to the
city who wants
to get the quote I don't know I don't know guys
Ohio State has to have like they have to have some kids that need hours for this shit or something right like they have to we can call yeah they can I'm sure they can Ohio State will charge you to send the kids
the thing I'd like to develop with you is a budget for 27 from 2026 what we've done
we have not done that yet
but I'd like to go through all of our bank statements for this year and start building them because we've had everything except for football season right pretty
much do we have all the bank statements let's connect and get on that because we can have our agent just build it out for you okay I can send them to I can send them to tomorrow I actually have a cheapest app
by the way she's been listening the whole time so she
doesn't like hear your telephone she could probably help you with the city she emails you later she's
got
a question
about the mannequin
do we have HR? we're good
I just had the one last question sorry we talked about in the fall when you guys went to the meeting for the COI talking about if teams if they had the ability to deem themselves like we talked about how they're going to do scheduling based on previous year's results like if teams on the bottom half are going to play each other in the next season or we're going to deem ourselves a division to team a division one in the same league like since we're constantly playing teams that are at times higher level than us is that going to be a conversation that gets brought up about maybe separating the divisions in this league because there are 20 teams and there's no reason why there can't be 10 teams in an elite division and 10 teams in a developmental league because that was something we brought up and we've never talked about it back again
so I didn't go to the meeting Tyler or TJ did I don't even know if that got brought up but right now they do it by
geographical
and they consider every team that plays in this a developmental team well they are full of shit I know I'm just telling you that's you know they say that they don't build teams they say they draft everything
but yeah I mean I've been out there I've seen some of the teams
they
told us
they built that team if they want it yeah so I think what Brad would say is it's a lot of work to do that because it's a lot of work currently doing what he's doing and now
he would say there's an opening if you want to do that oh 100 % well they
even asked last time too like they're asking for help
but it's really not because when you register your team it's are you an open team or are you not it's like baseball it's the exact same concept I completely understand
but you're talking about 100 teams opposed to and they figure it out 20 teams they figure it out I don't know I just want
to see the boys be competitive
but then you have to then you also have to go off the honesty of the coach it's true it says they're going to you do
but like we're sitting here in this circle and I have to be like okay we should be playing Newark we should be playing Thomas Worthington we should be playing Jonathan Older we should be playing Gahanna like Gahanna but you don't know
until you get that team anyways I think for the most
part the teams you're talking about they're D2 and we're Division 1 but I'm just telling you when we get to high school or we get to junior high it's
like but there's plenty of teams in Older Tangier that would be in the Division 2 there's teams that we've played that are in Older Tangier aren't great I'm just saying if they want true competitive balance the league needs to recognize it's not as balanced as we say it is and stop ignoring the elephant in the room and separate the team so it's equal playing field that's just fine and it changes every year too it does in 3 -4 you can't do that but in 5 -6 you can't because they have established years it's the same thing I mean I don't know just trying to find I completely hear what you're saying but we're just going to get shot down I'm sure Older Tangier
and Joyce beating the shit out fucking with people so we don't know tell you what we beat Older Tangier all four times I know we didn't we lost to Berkshire last year yeah I think I mean I'm interested to
see what happens this year especially with the so good boys I think the
guys' team is going to do well I
think
we're going to be able to compete I think it's going to be how we prepare them and coach them because we're literally half and half right now and a lot of those fourth graders
played last year I mean
we'll see it was a young team last year I was just curious it was brought up because we talked about it that's all
so I think part of the purpose of coming to this league was to play a tough team I mean because TJ is probably the only one old enough to remember but we had we played against River Valley that year before but we made the move and on paper there's no reason we should have beat that team or even made it close and they stomped everybody else in our league and we lost to them in the regular season it took some extra training some extra development some extra film watching on my part and we ended up beating them in overtime with the playoff and eventually finishing that thing off I
understand I understand it I'm just saying you have a year of 3 -4 and you clearly have an overall standings and if you're not in the top half the top half of the league should be in a division together and then the bottom half of the league should be in a division together and it plays itself out and then in 5th grade if you jump in the top division then you're in the top division it's a very easy model that will play out on the field so we're just going by
that so
each year that
school's one grade level and are we adjusting per grade level yeah
so we adjust per grade level so 3 -4 let's say we finish 4th okay well going into 5th grade they're in the top 10 division it's
3 and 4 that's the thing so they're losing
yeah it's true too what if they were a good 4th grader or you had a great 3rd graders and now that I
mean like Big
Walnut is that freaking
kid that's got the family name over in Big Walnut yeah that was a he looked like he should have been 5th grade yeah I mean he was I think it's you have two
options you either work stay in the league work and get them ready or you leave and then you're just going to really
downplay the whole you know when they get in middle school like we're done playing River Valley yeah at middle school because the new AD was like you guys killed this team yeah 7th grade and 8th grade and from what I heard you guys have been killing that team ever since yeah so he was like why are we playing River Valley you know I'm not no we're going
to
play
up
I
don't think there's a reason to ever leave you think so I just think there's a better way to I think we're going to be I mean you've seen it like when we played teams last year that were the same like of us
the games were right
I agree with you I think the difference the difference in the different teams come from the circle of people that are sitting here for that that specific school you know they sit around for three years and you look at Big Walnut they got it's just it's a refresh process it never changes their book's always the same they run it they run it with their first graders in flag football yeah and then they run it with their third and fourth fifth and sixth graders and that's why by the time you get to sixth grade there's no chance of stopping that train when we've had three different defenses in the last three different years with the Kings
so
I'm with you on that trust me I would much rather have ten competitive games than to have four blowouts in either direction in six competitive games we're blowing two teams out getting blown out twice and having six competitive games it's just not going to happen if we wanted that to happen we should have voted on the weight of the votes four years ago when they said hey this is going
to be a weighted vote well Olentangy is going to win the vote every time yeah it's just not going to but Olentangy is not
historically that good they're so watered down that it's when they create the teams to beat the Big Walnuts that Big Walnut created to beat us that we created to beat Big Walnut like it's that trickle down effect that's going to get you to where you are and once those people run in the league leave it'll be back to how it was whoever whatever team the players show up on be where they are I think it'll help us now that we have a little bit more
fluidity in our program like he's already said we're running the book I know Bobby's going to run the book I'm going to run the book so if we run that for six years we should be pounding people's asses by the time those third graders get up to sixth grade
trust me I wish we could change it I can mention it and I can try to get into the new years of the new commissioner but I don't see much luck with that I'll do what I can on it
I'm just curious to see what they would say not a
terrible idea it's like
every sport and youth has divisions even coible basketball teams deem themselves one two and three and in baseball one two and three and then football is just this well it's the league you decide to
get in because there's a league better than us and there's a league less than
us
and there's the cofoil and there's the marion marion you know so like there's plenty of opportunities we can do to go down and plenty of opportunities we can do to go up but I think right here where we're at you think marysville beats us their
high
school program
I'm just curious we
talked about it
I
can mention
it to them we played we played marysville two
years ago
yeah we weren't very good and we hung around for the most part I think we took both of those games to be honest
they're the same boat as all and tangy where they do water it down but one is definitely built up one coach will carry the same kids move to the next grade but the next coach starts fresh same thing that everybody else has done
now we'll just keep them off
so
we need to schedule our photos for our teams and our cheerleaders because if we don't do that we're not going to be able to do it on time so if you guys are starting practice a week later is that right still in the 20th okay so
last year we did two different days
can
we see if we can get above the light for like either the 8th and the 15th or the 15th and 22nd
of August
that way that can end care of and we can stay on top of getting our sponsors their photos and all that stuff what is
your uniform no she's not none of them are my best friends
ever
they
should really
if they're available you can schedule us for the first
will
will will will will will will will will
will will will
will
will
will
will
will will will will
will will will
will!
will!
two day combination
so it doesn't matter which one i do first
yes
yeah i was just about to ask you about that how's that going twins i've
heard it's pretty good they really want to wear 77
so they go every day they went tonight at four because i was like what kind of football
literally
right here right around the corner
it's
in one of those warehouse yeah section are
they baseball no it's speed agility it's like speed agility you might be at 26 it's total performance for like athletes it's not specific to the sport but it's something that you should do year round even if you're in a sport right now because they have it's like $70 a week or something like that no i pay $176 a month and they can go right now they're going three days so but i got the first 50 discount so you know so
mason's like $91 that's what i want to kind of mason's like $91 every two weeks and people like $83 every two weeks it's
like
$176 per kid i pay $176 on the first or $176 on
the 15 how do they work out to be a different amount just a discount i got a discount for payton for and then i
got a discount for mason for being first 50 because i can only have one at the first 50 so i got him the first 50 so he got like a he's getting like a special you know if they have pricing you on athleticism or what
you
know well they actually tested pretty freaking high for their age i mean i figured i would be better probably the first two but no they love it i mean i don't know if you guys know mason just hit his first home on the fence last weekend and he's he's i mean you know how small the twins are they're the smallest kids on the team he was probably hit home base before the ball hit the ground he's been hitting the shit out of the baseball right were you guys still playing on
2 .25 because like crouch had the line
that was over 2 so it was like the actual distance was like 260 and so i mean i don't want to do both home runs first pitch that he saw he's the second half and they're swinging drop fives they're swinging 30 30 and 25 yeah they drop fives like yeah they go straight from there you have to you communicate to coaches you communicate with them and say they're in football they'll work on like rest recovery there you know like different things like if they're doing conditioning here they're not going
to
have them do sprints here they're going to be focused more on like weights and like agility and speed and like different you know like launching and stuff like that so he'd get braided up and
speaking of next meeting good to be here again sure
when is it
uh what's july looking like
no sure up in the bar but it might be outside wide open
thank god safe i need this month
what's
up you don't
i
personally rather keep it in the first three weeks of july
and if we're going to do it and if we're going to do it in the last half let's do it on a weekend because it's a lot going on during during practice so can
we do it the 13th monday the 13th 6 o 'clock what sounds good monday the 13th 6 o 'clock
and i'll tell matt and i'll have him so like how can we get it monday was offense so because i know gunner did an evaluation there we're trying to get him to sign up xavier's going to go there dom just signed up oh really yeah dom got a freaking offer i know well that's verbal but still they can't get it
i mean that's uh without cohesion
i mean sometimes we'll and i don't know what and that is he will
give a like if we do a partnership and we send him enough kids he will do a group discount so i thought it'd be perfect to pair with this program i was gonna have an excite and bring back in because he's the director of i hope not and come in middle
school and then like at the end well you have parents come in and talk about
what they do it's awesome like i said the twins want to go there so whatever
he's coaching just that's what we
did and then you know i mean i'm
it's in
the text too i
didn't see that the last time we did it it wasn't there the last one was online here i know so it was transcribed okay so we
just easy this is just gonna turn it up and we'll get awesome i'll transcribe it and also it's in the classroom
she can add in the notes whatever you want
all right if nobody has anything else i'd like to close meeting
second
bye bye
thanks guys
