I had a haircutting appointment that I set for myself about an hour ago and I totally forgot to go to it. Oh, shit. I've been messing around on the computer and I was like, I was gonna ask you about if you got your haircut and I'm like, oh shit, I'm like an hour late for mine.
Oh, well, I just go to Great Clips, so it's not a big deal.
I actually missed part of my hair. I got my hair cut, but I didn't get my other stuff done because I couldn't, I was about a half hour late getting there. Oh, couldn't fit it in. Too late. Uh -uh.
Yeah. So, but anyways, it is what it is. Yeah.
Um, but yeah, I know you're heading out
next week. I just wanted to call you real quick. We're going over to some friends' house now, but.
Cool. Um,
I want to spend some time with you when you get
back as soon as possible. Just kind of. Well, I'm here all day Monday. I just, I leave early on Tuesday and then I get back Thursday night. Okay. Just a kind
of, I just need to spend some time with you. You know, getting this stuff out is one thing, but then what Jeremy's asking me to do now is kind of where you and I, you and I talked about it.
I just want to make sure I'm aligned with you.
And before I come back and answer any questions of his.
Yep.
Yep. For sure. I didn't, this is going to be
a, this will be a big deal if we, we go this route.
Yeah. It's a, it'll be a lot of work. It'll be good though. I think there's a ton of potential and opportunity there.
Okay. No, I agree. I agree. But I'll get you introduced to Blake on Monday too.
Okay.
Um, and is there anything else I needed to follow up on? I'm going to look back at your text, I guess.
Um, I know you wanted to, I think that was the big question.
Yeah. Blake unlocks the, um, the content, right. And that's going to really help make the website pop. Um, and what we're, what we're trying to go for is at least to get you guys in an MVP state. So we can talk about getting your MVP up and going immediately.
Um, and the MVP just covering like some real basics. Um, it won't have all like, we'll circle back and do all the flashy stuff too. But, uh, I think the basics getting that live right away is probably pretty key.
Um, so that way you guys can get as much more, as many more sales as you like in this year. Um, and then, yeah. So after the web, like what, um, what Jeremy was talking about was in the CRM and automation and, and all of that fun stuff.
Like, yeah, we already, we service that. We just haven't wanted to bombard ugly Johns and all of that. And then get them turned off by trying to do too much at once.
Well, that's the thing. If he wants us to go create, if he's wanting me to create a kind of a marine platform related to, you know, how we find it to sell to other dealers. Um,
that, that's, that's what I need to talk to you about. Cause that's, I think this is part of a large, a broader conversation potentially, right? Yep. Depending on where he wants to go, because then it becomes, then we, then we look at this more holistically than, than just a double Johns thing.
Yep. There's a couple layers, right? So what you and I talked about originally was really just a financing SaaS and what that could mean to dealers is one more tool, right? So they're using dealer spike for one thing.
They're using all these other tools for all these other, other things. And I don't know if that's the right play. I don't know. I think we can do something even better than that, to be quite honest. Yeah. I think, um, yeah, we can do it.
We're just part of the larger frag shit that's going on right now. Yep. And somebody is going to come in and do it better than what dealer spikes doing, but creating a full dealer management system that includes website build, that includes, um, CRM.
It includes all the dealer management tools, the financing tools, like complete end to end is where the big picture is.
Okay. That's exactly where I'm at. Where my head is. And that's why I don't want to, I don't know how much we want to piss around with the, I mean, obviously the site thing, the stuff that we're doing right now, that needs to be done.
And then we need to start talking about, you know, you guys managing it and how that looks, but the bigger, the bigger play for you. And I think quite honestly, I know for me is that, you know, building out, building out that, that holistic solution that not just.
Hey
Google, volume three.
We can, we can take and sell to other dealers.
Yep. Oh, that's absolutely the scale play. So we call that a SAS and, uh, and depending on, well, there's two different versions of the SAS that we just talked about. So the financing only kind of think of it like a versatile credit, but for both or the, the even bigger picture, which is where I think we should be going is, is like the full DMS, the Marina DMS that includes everything, including the financial, um, part of it.
Yep. Yep. So,
yep.
All right, cool. That's a, that's a big dream, but, um, definitely something that's doable.
No, I, I agree. I agree. Yep. I, I, I probably need to start spending some time with other dealers to kind of figuring out more of the pain points. I can, I can obviously speak holistically for us.
Yep.
Um, and you know, just from a, from a beginning to end part perspective. Um, so yeah, this is, this is great. All right. I just wanted to touch base, make sure that I wasn't missing anything with the followups with you and for you that, uh, get the, uh, the website going.
And then I want to make sure that I'm aligned with you because I, I want to have a conversation with Jeremy when he can dedicate, when I mean dedicate, he's not fucking jumping off calls and stuff. So we can talk through and, and just say, Hey, here's, I need your attention on this.
What do you, what exactly do you want us to do? Yeah. And, and so we can take that and then we can talk about, you know, kind of structure and things like that, but I kind of understand exactly what your head is and what you want to do.
And the value you're bringing to this because versus if I just had my guy independently work on it, right?
Yep.
So, um, I, I, I worked it. I've, I've been giving them praise. Just don't, you can't say anything because I know there's some, they got, they're going through some family struggles with, uh, with one of the sons. So.
Was that Chris?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I may have told you already.
It came up a little bit from, um, John. We were just talking about the dynamics, but he didn't say exactly what happened, but.
Yeah. Yeah. Well, anyway, so I'm giving grace there,
but I gotta, I gotta, even when I'm on the phone with him, like when I talk to him right after I let you know that the conversation happened, he was, he was half in, right? And he was like, Oh, I gotta go.
I got the doctor calling. I got dad calling. I got mom calling. Um, so it's like, okay.
Um, but I gotta, I gotta make sure that, you know, give me, give me an hour of your time focused.
Well, that's the thing too. If we want to really bring him in as a partnership, we need to evaluate that. Right. So what's, what's he serious about and what can he bring? Um, cause we're gonna, I mean, we're going to need, eventually we'll be expanding and getting support, um, from others already.
So depending on how big we grow and again, don't need to put the cart before the horse. I think the first thing is getting a proof of concept out there and we can leverage ugly John's as that proof of concept, um, and provide them at least some great experiences and bring them a lot of business along with that.
Um, but then, um, does Jeremy open up additional doors? Does he bring opportunities that we don't already have? I mean, quite honestly, I don't even know that we really need a ton of capital. So it's not even that right.
But, and we can probably, I think we're going to be offering a product that we can really scale on our own too. So, so
yeah, you're, you're thinking about it the exact same way I am. I just, I just, my, my big thing is number one, get, get an understanding of exactly what he wants to do.
Yeah.
And then more importantly, once, once we understand that you and I kind of figure out how we want to move forward with it.
Yeah.
Sounds like a plan. All right, man. Well, listen, have a great week. Tell Jamie I said hello. I will.
And, and, uh, enjoy the, I hope you can get your hair cut, man, because
you did look a little bit scruffy the other day.
Yeah, it was long. I got to set that back up. Hey, you guys always pull back in a ponytail, you'll be good to go. Good news, they don't get mad at me, so I'll just put in another appointment, just depending on how long the time is.
So, we'll see. But yeah, we got that. And then we've got to make a trip up to, um, our son's apartment. He was playing ball up in Kent State, and, uh, he's got to get his stuff out of there.
So, that's what we'll be doing this weekend, is moving kids.
Yeah, I, I, I'm glad I'm through with those stages of life. Hopefully you get to enjoy the boat this weekend. Well, we're gonna, well, I had to say that.
We're going over to some friends' house. It's supposed to start raining tonight, and I think tomorrow's gonna be a washout. So, um, we, we may have to figure out a day of the week where we get it out.
Yeah.
But, uh, yeah, we're gonna, we're getting, well, I'll tell you more about that later, because it's like, I'm getting pissed off. We're already middle of June, and we've used it, what, one time?
Yeah. One time
this year.
Yeah. So. It's hard, I mean, there's a lot of time and effort into getting out on the boat, so. I understand.
Yeah. Especially when it's 45 minutes from our house, so it's not like, you know, just down the road.
Mm, yeah.
It's a drive.
Yep.
All right, amigo, well, listen, enjoy the weekend. We'll chat on Monday.
Okay, buddy. Have a good one.
All right, thanks.
Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye.
Bye.
